This client needed a medical grade high flow (100 I/min) low pressure (100 cm water) regulator that has full pressure adjustability from 0-100 cm water pressure with extremely high stability that is less than 1% full scale. This regulator was made from components that are extremely corrosion resistant and durable for long life expectancy.  


DPK started this project with theoretical analysis and mathematical modeling. We were then able to design a prototype and use our 3D printers to make that prototype using low cost plastic to test the design. With some modifications DPK was then able to create a metal version of the product with positive results. With the ability to test using low cost materials and processes it not only saves you money but saves you time as well so that we make sure we get it right from the very beginning. 


This video is an example of our ability at DPK to render 3D, 30 frames per second high def commercial quality video that can be used to sell and market your product. Videos of this quality require the use of high powered computers that DPK has in-house!

The requirement was to create a system that could hold a robotic arm and also create an additional degree of freedom for the arm to move and increase the envelope of coverage. The arm was articulated along and extruded aluminum track propelled by a servo motor connected to a closed loop servo motor coupled to Kevlar belt system.

The client wanted a flexible rubber case that is used to protect hand held computer control displays. The design had to be beautiful and functional. Easy to hold with you hand, stays on tight to the control display and protects the control display from dropping onto floor.

The client wanted a clip that would attach to cubicle panel walls. The goal was to have a design that was aesthetically pleasing and would also have the mechanical capability to hold onto the walls with a target of 50 lbs clamping force and be able to have infinite life. The target was to have a mass producible design that would allow for injection molding for high volume mass production.

Smart Pinch Valve

The client needed a gas controlling pinch valve with a response time of 200ms and a minimum flow rate of 60 l/min and a leak rate of .01 sccs/min or better. The application also required the use of long life corrosion resistant materials and electronics targeting longevity beyond 10 million cycles. The application also required the integration of IOT, a smart sensor system was developed and integrated into the valve system so that the end user could monitor the performance and health of the pinch valve.

This project was contracted by a large well known national sporting goods company. The goal was to create an aesthetically pleasing, performance enhancing marketable product. DPK designed the product as well as helped to fabricate the prototypes. Another important component of the project was to create photorealistic renderings of the product to be used on their website and in promotional materials.
